Cardiovascular Unit RN
Overview
- Contract role in Chico, California
- 13-week assignment
- 12-hour day shift, 0700 start
- 36 hours per week
- 30-bed Cardiovascular Unit (CVU)
- Patient ratio does not exceed 1:4
- Unit provides medical, pre-operative, and post-operative surgical care for medium to high acuity patients
- Patient population includes young adult through geriatric patients
- Examples of cases include cardiac diagnoses, pre/post cardiac artery bypass surgery, carotid endarterectomy, Acute Myocardial Infarction (MI), post pacemaker insertion, arrhythmia detection, CHF, and pneumonia
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- ACLS
- Experience with Epic
- Experience in a Critical Care setting
- CVU - Cardiovascular Unit experience
- Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience
- Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- 2 years of experience in Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit
- One completed travel assignment
Float Scope
- May float to other units including Med/Surg
- Med/Surg and Critical Care RN positions are required to float as needed
