Labor and Delivery RN
Role
- Labor and Delivery RN
- Travel/Contract
- Nights: 3x12 or 4x12
- Start date: ASAP
- Assignment length: 13 or 26 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Experience with Epic
- May float to like units if needed
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- Locals not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
Preferred
- Charge experience preferred, or willing to train as charge
Unit Information
- High Risk LD unit
- OB Triage/Testing: 5-10
- 7-14 LD/Antepartum
- 10 OB Triage rooms
- 10 LDR rooms
- 3 OR suites
- 4 PACU rooms
- Average daily deliveries around 7, with up to 14 patients including inductions and high risk antepartum
- OB Triage averages 4-5 third trimester testing patients plus triage patients each day

- Block scheduling: Not available
- Pending license accepted, but license must be in hand for Auto Offer
- Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks, with up to 1 12-hour shift called off per 2 weeks
