RN - Emergency Dept

Overview

Travel RN role in the Emergency Department
12-week contract
Shift: 7P–7A
Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
Call: none
Openings: 1
Unit has 17 beds
Patient ratio: 1:4
Average volume: 40 visits/day
Patient population: all ages
Facility department/cost center: 780

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Iowa
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting
Iowa SING BG clearance required, including criminal and child abuse portions
All county and state background checks must be fully cleared before start; no instant or statewide searches accepted
Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult
10-panel drug test including opiates
Titers from the last 12 months for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB
BLS
ACLS
PALS
TNCC
NIHSS

Travel experience
2+ years in acute care
