RN - Emergency Dept
Overview
- Travel RN role in the Emergency Department
- 1 opening
- Shift: 7A-7P
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48
- Weekend requirement: every other weekend
- Call: none
- Patient population: all ages
- Unit has 17 beds
- Average patient ratio: 1:4
- Average volume: 40 visits/day
Required Qualifications
- Iowa SING background check to clear, including criminal and child abuse portions
- All county and state background checks must be fully cleared before start
- Mandatory reporter certification for child and adult
- 10-panel drug screen including opiates
- Titers from the last 12 months for MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB
- Valid RN license in Iowa
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- NIHSS
Preferred
- Travel experience
- 2+ years in acute care
Schedule / Start Details
- Weekly orientations
- Mid-week starts allowed, except Wednesdays
- Monday or Tuesday starts allowed
