Operating Room Registered Nurse
Overview
- Specialty: Operating Room
- Location: Watertown, New York
- Shift: 7p-7a, 12-hour nights
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Radius rule: 100 mile radius
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS preferred
- Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs
Role Details
- May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse
- Experience should include knowledge of nursing principles, patient assessment, safety practices, use of lifts, working in stressful situations, problem-solving, prioritization, delegation, interpersonal communication, organization, and written/verbal communication
- Knowledge of typical clinical equipment and instrumentation used in a safe and/or aseptic OR/ASU environment
- Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills
