RN - Emergency Dept

Overview

Travel RN role in the Emergency Dept at North Channel FSED.
Unit has 22 beds.
Patient ratio is 1:4.
Hours per week: 36.
Contract length: 13 weeks.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
PALS
TNCC
CPI
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

ENPC
NRP

Unit Details

Staffed with day, mid, and night shifts.
Typical procedures include IV starts, blood draws, moderate sedations, and splinting.
Equipment includes splinting supplies, defibrillator, Hamilton Vent, Welch Alyn, and bedside cardiac monitoring.
EMR: Meditech Magic transitioning to Meditech Expanse 8/13.

Floating

May float to Fairmont FSED if needed.

Schedule Notes

Weekends as needed or every other, whichever is preferred.
No on-call.
