Operating Room RN
Overview
- 13-week assignment
- 8hr Days
- Weekend, holiday, and call required
- On call required with a 30-minute response time
- 100 mile radius rule
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in New York
- OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS
- Lethal dysrhythmia interpretation skills
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of typical clinical equipment instrumentation used in a safe and/or aseptic OR/ASU environment
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS preferred
- Preceptorship, charge, and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs
Role Details
- May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse
- Experienced RN should have a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and the ability to provide quality patient care, assess patient needs, recognize safety issues, and use lifts to move patients safely
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate
- Ability to function well in stressful situations and use creative problem-solving skills
