RN - L&D
Overview
- Travel RN role in L&D
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Unit
- L&D
- 35 beds
- 3rd Floor, Main Hospital
- 13-bed Maternal Assessment Center for triage of pregnant patients
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Labor and Delivery (1 year of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- ACLS
- AWHONN
- BLS
- NRP
Preferred Qualifications
- OR Circulation for Cesarean Sections
- Placement of FSE and IUPC
Clinical Experience / Procedures
- Vaginal Delivery
- Cesarean Sections
- PACU recovery
- Antepartum care/testing
- Continuous Electronic Fetal Monitoring
Unit Details
- Patient ratios: 1:1/2:1 laboring, 2:1 APU, 2:1 PACU
- Equipment includes Hill-Rom birthing beds, Alaris IV pump, GE core metrics FM, Panda warmer, CADD Solis epidural pumps, and NOVI wireless FM
- Scrub color: Royal Blue
- Baby Friendly Designation
- Pitocin and Cervical Ripening policies/protocols
- Magnesium Sulfate, Hydralazine, and Labetalol protocols
- 24/7 ancillary services: Anesthesia, Neonatal, Laborist, and Hospitalist
