ER RN Day Shift
Overview
- Contract role in Lake Isabella, California.
- Day shift; 36 hours per week.
- Emergency care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Valid RN license in California.
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience).
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year.
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience.
- BLS issued by American Heart Association.
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association.
- PALS issued by American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
- Emergency room experience preferred.
Role Summary
- Provides direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting.
- Triage patients safely, rapidly, and accurately.
- Performs head-to-toe assessments and reassessments, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient populations.
- Monitors hemodynamic status and interprets results.
- Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac monitoring, identifies dysrhythmias, and treats appropriately.
- Prepares, hangs, monitors, and discontinues IV fluids.
- Assists physicians with procedures in the Emergency Department.
- Leads and supervises staff, trains new employees, and allocates and monitors work.
- Participates in performance improvement activities.
