Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum
Role Overview
- Travel/Contract RN in Mother Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum
- 32 beds
- Postpartum patients who do not need ICU level of care
- Newborn patients who do not need NICU level of care
- High-risk patient population
- Typical ratios: 1:3 couplets, or up to 6 patients
Schedule
- Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00
- Rotating schedule with various days of the week
- Option for nights only
- Call required per unit needs
- Weekend requirement per unit needs
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Post Partum (1 year of experience)
- Post Partum experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure issued by American Heart Association
- EFM - Electronic Fetal Monitoring
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Antepartum experience
- Labor and Delivery experience

- Antepartum patients with fetal monitoring experience
- Late preterm
- Substance-exposed newborns
- 2000 gm and above
- Phototherapy
- Magnesium drips
- Insulin drips
- Heparin drips
- PCA and PCEA pumps
- Breastfeeding support for postpartum patients
