Progressive Care RN
Overview
- Contract assignment in Hilo, Hawaii
- Progressive Care Unit with 15 beds: 3 Step down ICU and 12 telemetry
- Day shift: 0645 to 1915
- Scheduled 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation
- No guarantee of hours
- No call
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Hawaii
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- Cardiac PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting
Preferred
- Progressive Care experience
- Telemetry experience
- ACLS
- PALS
- NIHSS certification
Unit Details
- Primary nursing care
- Telemetry monitoring
- Telemetry strip reading
- Fingerstick blood sugar
- Meditech charting
- Pyxis for medications
- BIPAP
- Continuous cardiac monitoring
Floating
- Floats to all acute units in house, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER
Additional Notes
- Scrubs
- For a specific traveler
- If not currently in possession of an active State of HI license, must apply upon acceptance of offer
- Must arrive the Thursday before start for an employee health appointment on Friday
