RN Rehab
Overview
- Travel RN role in a free-standing rehab center in San Antonio, Texas.
- 42-bed nursing unit.
- 36 hours per week.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Rehabilitation (1 year of experience)
- Rehabilitation experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Inpatient Rehab Experience
- Meditech experience
Unit Details
- Rehab Nursing unit on the second floor
- Staffing includes charge nurse, RNs, LVNs, and Patient Care Techs on both day and night shifts
- Patient ratio: 5-6:1
- Equipment includes hoyer lifts, SCD machines, wound vacs, Smart Pumps, and Purwicks
Clinical Focus
- Lab draws
- Diabetes management
- Wound care
- Ostomy care
- IVs/catheter placement
Float Scope
- Med surge
- Med/Oncology
Schedule Notes
- Prefer 4 weekend days per month, but flexible
Work Environment
- Works with PT/OT/ST/Dietitian and values kindness, teamwork, collaboration, and effective communication
