RN ICU
Overview
- Travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina
- Unit: CICU
- 16 beds
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
- Alternating weekends
- Travelers float to all areas
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- CVICU (2 years of experience)
- CVICU experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIH Certification
- Titration of vesicant medications
- Familiarity with pressors
- Experience with sedation
- Experience with paralytics
- Experience with ventilators
- Experience with tracheostomies
- Telemetry interpretation
- Understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
- Experience with transvenous pacing
- Experience with cardioversion
Preferred
- CCRN
- IABP
- Impella
- CRRT
Unit Details
- RNs only; no HUC or PCT
- Scrub colors: all navy or navy and white
- Documentation system: Cerner
- Equipment includes ventilator, telemetry, Baxter IV pump, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia
- Must have experience with titration of vesicant meds, pressors, sedation, paralytics, vents, trachs, telemetry interpretation, hemodynamics, and PA catheter setup and interpretation
- Procedures performed on the unit include cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
