RN PICU
Overview
- Travel assignment in Denver, Colorado
- 36 hours per week
- 7P - 7A
- Unit: PICU
- 20 beds
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS
- PALS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Post op cardiac experience
- Venous puncture
Unit Details
- Staffed with 51 total staff
- Day shift includes 1 free charge, 9 bedside RN, and 1 PCT
- Night shift includes 1 free charge and 9 bedside RN
- Patient ratios are 1:2 and 1:1
- Equipment includes Philip monitor, alaris and medfusion IV pumps
- EMR: Meditech
Typical Procedures
- Conscious sedations
- Care of respiratory failure (ETT, HFOV)
- CT placement
- Central line maintenance and care
