RN ICU
Role Overview
- Travel RN-ICU assignment in SICU (653)
- Location: San Antonio, Texas
- Shift: 7A-7:30P or 7P-7:30A
- Weekend: Rotating
- Call: No
- Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Floating is required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- Minimum 2-3 years or more ICU experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Experience with intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- Experience with CRRT
Preferred Qualifications
- MICU background
- MSICU background
- IABP exposure
- CRRT exposure
- Meditech experience
Unit Details
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Procedures performed on the unit include chest tubes, tracks, GI scopes, intubations, central lines, art lines, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and dressing changes
Work Expectations
- Badge in and out for each shift
- Take a full 30-minute lunch
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts; clock-in time is 6:38 am/pm, and after 6:45 is considered tardy
Dress Code
- Navy scrub top and pants for RNs
- Navy or white scrub jacket
- Clean, healthy nails
- Hair must be neat and clean, with no extreme styles or colors
- Beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Body art should be covered whenever possible
- Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
