RN - Med Surg
Overview
- Travel RN role in Med/Surg.
- Unit: 6 Med/Tele / (614)
- Schedule: 7A–7P
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit details
- 33 rooms, up to 49 patients with some semi-private rooms
- 62 staff members
- Telemetry monitoring
- EMR: Meditech
- Busy medical floor with specialty in caring for surgical flap patients, spinal cord injury patients with stage 4 wounds that require surgical intervention
- Partners with the burn unit and cares for low acuity burn patients
Required qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- 1 year of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- Experience in a hospital setting
Preferred qualifications
- Worked with SCI (spinal cord injury)
- ACLS
Typical procedures
- Wound care
- Occasional bowel program
- Light burn care
