RN - Emergency Dept
Overview
- Travel RN role in Emergency Services
- Location: Hickory, North Carolina
- Shift: 1p-1a
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend schedule: rotate every other
- Call: push back hours depending on census
- One opening
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Cerner
Preferred
- Fast-paced ED experience
- Experience with strokes, STEMI’s, and trauma
Unit Details
- Emergency Department
- 32 beds
- Patient ratios: 1:4 to 1:5
- Trauma level not designated; receives all traumas
- Patient population: birth to death
- Critical care equipment used
Additional Notes
- Float requirements: helping hands in areas where competencies apply
- Must start on one of the listed orientation dates
- Scrub color: any at this time
- Unacceptable attire includes hoodies and inappropriate t-shirts
