PCU RN
Overview
- Travel assignment in Kingwood, Texas
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
Unit
- 3N PCU
- 24 total beds
- Medical trauma unit
- Maximum patient ratio: 5:1
- Standard equipment
- EMR: Meditech Expanse
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS
- ACLS
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Preferred
- Charge Nurse experience
- Meditech Expanse experience
Procedures / Clinical Skills
- Thoracentesis
- Chest tubes
- Care of patients post heart cath
- Medication administration
- RN assessments and reassessments
- Communication with all members of the care team
- Documentation in EHR-Meditech Expanse
Floating
- Adult Unit
Schedule
- Day shift and night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, and 2 PCTs
- Normally rotating weekends
