RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Overview

Travel RN role in a Cath Lab
Contract length: 13 weeks
Location: Richmond, Virginia
Unit has 3 cath labs
Day shift staffing includes a mix of RNs and cardiovascular technologists
On call some weekends and week days
Must be able to report to the hospital within 30 minutes of call-back

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Cardiac Cath Lab experience within the last year
2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
ACLS
BLS
Experience working in an interventional cardiac cath lab

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working in a high-volume lab handling complex cases

Procedures / Clinical Experience

Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations
Impella
Balloon-pump
Peripheral cases
Complex PCIs
Occasional devices

Unit Details

10–11 staff per day in the cath lab
Patient ratio: 3 staff per room
Equipment: GE X-ray/MacLab
EMR: Meditech

Work Environment

Fast-paced, busy lab
Professional conduct and strong attendance are important
Light blue scrubs provided by the hospital
