Emergency Dept RN

Overview

Travel assignment in Salem, Virginia

27 beds

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
2-3 completed travel assignments
ACLS
BLS
PALS
Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

High acuity ERs
Fast paced ERs with high volume
Experience with patient ratios of 5:1

Unit Details

Meditech EMR
Patient ratio: 4-6:1
No on call
Weekend requirement: four weekend shifts in a four-week scheduling period
Typical procedures include RSI, Sepsis interventions, Stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of the psych patient, and transfers to other facilities (EMTALA)
