RN Emergency Dept
Overview
- Travel RN role in the Emergency Department
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Location: Hopewell, Virginia
Unit Details
- 22 beds, with a vertical space area for additional patients
- Approx. 50 staff
- Patient ratio: 1:4
- Equipment includes Phillips & GE Monitors and a Level 1 Rapid Infuser
- EMR: Meditech (EDM)
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Virginia
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Strong IV skills- adults & pediatric
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- CPI
Preferred
- Trauma experience
- TNCC
- Meditech experience
Procedures / Clinical Experience
- Cardioversion
- Central line placements
- Cardiac arrests
- IV insertions
- EKGs
- Pacemaker interrogation
- Code Stroke protocol
- Code Sepsis protocol
- Suture/abscess set up
Float Scope
- Potentially to FSED, approximately 15 minutes away
Schedule
- Every other weekend
- At least 1 Friday and 1 Monday in a 4-week schedule
- No on-call required
