Emergency Dept RN
Overview
- Travel RN role in Houston, Texas.
- Unit is a 9-bed Fallbrook FSED.
- Patient ratio is 4:1.
- Hours per week: 36.
- Contract length: 13 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas.
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience).
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year.
- ACLS.
- BLS.
- PALS.
- TNCC.
- CPI.
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
- 2 years recent ER experience at medium to high volume ER.
Preferred Qualifications
- CEN.
Unit Details
- Staffed by RNs.
- Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC and 2 RNs.
- Night shift staffing includes 1 CNC and 2 RNs.
- Equipment includes Lifepack 15, C1 vent, Lucas, and POC lab equipment.
- EMR: Meditech Expanse.
Common Procedures
- EKG.
- PIV placement.
- Ventilator.
- BiPap.
- POC labs, including Picolo, EPOC, and Traige Meter.
Floating
- Other FSED.
- Main ED.
Schedule Notes
- Every other weekend off, with 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week period.
Work Environment
- Flexible and able to work with all types of personalities.
