RN Tele
Overview
- Travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Unit
- A3 West Med Surg tele
- 38 beds
- Mission Campus
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Preferred Qualifications
- Charge nurse experience
Unit Details
- Day shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 6-7 RNs, 1 LPN, 3 PCTs, and 1 unit secretary
- Night shift staffing includes 1 charge RN, 6 RNs, 1 LPN, 2-3 PCTs, and HUC for part of the shift
- Patient ratio is 6:1; night stretch ratio is 7:1
- Common equipment includes Baxter IV pumps, wound vacs, SCDS, prima-fits, and primo-fits
- Common procedures include peripheral IV starts, dressing changes, and other standard medical surgical skills
Floating
- Other medical surgical units
- ED holding medical/surgical patients
Schedule
- Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
