RN Tele
Overview
- Travel assignment in Fredericksburg, Texas
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- Unit: 2 North – Med-Surg
- 24-bed unit on the 2nd floor of the Main Hospital
- Patient ratio: 1:6
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS
- ACLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with postoperative care
Preferred Qualifications
- PALS
- NIH
- 2 years experience or more
Unit Details
- Staffed with day shift charge, RN/LVN, aides, and a unit clerk; night shift charge, RN/LVN, and aides
- Typical equipment includes C.O.W.s, BP Machines, Doppler, Bladder Scanner, Heating Pad, Hoyer Lift, Sara Steady, Sit to Stand, Traction, SCDs, IV Pumps, PCA Pump, Epidural Pump, Ambit Pain Pump, KCI & Prevena Wound Vac
- EMR: Meditech Expanse (PCS)
Common Procedures / Patient Care
- Daily weights, vital signs, intake/output, hourly rounding, bedside report
- CBI, cardiac gtt, heparin gtt, phototherapy, wound care, IV starts, discharge/admit own patients, NGT, foley care
Floating
- ICU for MedSurg overflow patients
Schedule
- 4-week schedule
- Every other weekend or 2 weekends required
- Holidays required
- RTO must be pre-approved

- Dress code: Navy Blue scrubs
