RN ICU

Overview

Travel assignment in Round Rock, Texas
13-week contract
Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
36 hours per week
2 openings
Unit: Intensive Care Unit
22-bed unit
No call
Alternating weekends

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Texas
ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

Trauma credentials such as TNCC, CATN, or TCAR
Post-op cardiac surgery experience

Unit Details

Patient ratio: 1:2, sometimes 1:1
Common equipment includes IABP, Impella, ventilator, arterial line, Swan-Ganz catheters, SLED/TABLO machines, Belmont rapid infuser, traction, EVD, nitric oxide, and Hemisphere
Common procedures include rapid sequence intubation, CABG and valve replacements, thrombectomies, EVD insertions, SLED/TABLO, MTP, cardioversion, IABP/Impella management, TNK administration, vasopressors, and IV sedation

Work Environment

Navy scrubs required
Team-oriented, adaptable, and patient-safety-focused environment
