Radiographer

Overview

Location: Lancaster, Ohio

Shift: M-F Days
Hours per week: 36

Required Qualifications

Valid Radiology Technologist license in Ohio
Radiology Technologist (1 year of experience)
Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
ARRT
BLS
Associate's degree in radiologic technology

Preferred Qualifications

Previous staff radiographer experience

Job Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic radiologic examinations
Assists physicians with radiologic procedures
Prepares examinations for interpretation
Maintains radiation safety
Assists with maintaining supplies
Performs and documents diagnostic radiographic examinations upon the order of an approved healthcare provider
Performs handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver
Analyzes radiographic examinations for quality control purposes
Prepares completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist
Operates radiographic equipment
Operates facility-based computer systems
Administers oral and intravenous contrast media under physician direction / per protocol
Transports, moves, and positions patients safely and appropriately
Assists physicians with special procedures involving radiography
Participates in quality assurance activities related to radiographic care within the Imaging Department

Additional Notes

Working knowledge of computer programs is expected
Strong communication, organization, critical thinking, and independent decision-making skills are expected
