CT Tech - Radiology

Location: Houston, Texas Employment type: Travel Contract length: 13 weeks Hours per week: 36

Schedule

Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. (one section of the posting lists 7:30 a.m.)

Unit Overview

Radiology department in the main hospital, 1st floor
Small department with one CT scanner (GE Lightspeed, 16 slice)
One CT Tech per shift, so the tech works alone
Very low CT volume; patients are from the ED and inpatient units only
Typical procedures: abdomen and pelvis, head, and chest for PE (no cardiac)
Posting describes this as an easy shift because of the low volume

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in Texas
At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist, with experience within the last year
ARRT certification
BLS certification
Experience working with adult patients
Experience working with pediatric patients
IV insertion skills
