RN - Med Surg Telemetry
Location: Hickory, North Carolina Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours: 36 per week (guaranteed) Number of Openings: 1
Schedule
- Shift: P/A
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Orientation: Travelers must start on December 7, 2026
Unit
- Specialty: Cardiac
- Floor: Telemetry
- Beds: 24
- Patient Ratio: 4:1
- Patient Population: Generalized cardiac patients, young adult to elderly adult
- Common Diagnoses and Treatments: Chest pain, A-fib, CHF, pre- and post-care for cardiac caths (groin and radial), VATS
- Hospital: 355 beds, with a 32-bed ED and 29-bed inpatient rehab
- Float Scope: May occasionally be required to float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical. This is float scope, not required experience.
- Dress Code: Any scrub color is acceptable.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience (2 years)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Life Pak
- Experience with Zoll
- Experience with Masimo
- Experience with Cerner
