RN - Med Surg Telemetry
Location: Hickory, North Carolina Specialty: Cardiac Employment Type: Travel Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Openings: 1
Start Dates
- Travelers must start on one of the following dates:
- November 16, 2026
- December 7, 2026
Unit and Schedule
- Unit: Telemetry (floor)
- Shift: PM-AM
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
- Beds: 24
- Patient Ratio: 4:1
- Patient Population: Generalized cardiac patients, from young adults to elderly adults
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Chest pain, A-fib, CHF, pre- and post-care for cardiac caths (groin and radial), VATS
- Float Scope: May occasionally be required to float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience (2 years)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Must have Life Pak experience
- Must have Zoll experience
- Must have Masimo experience
- Experience with Cerner
Equipment
- Life Paks, Zoll, Masimo, Cerner
