RN - Med Surg Telemetry
Employment Type: Travel (Backfill) Location: Gallatin, Tennessee Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
Unit and Facility
- Unit: Med/Surg A5 floor, Medical Surgical Combination 2 department
- Specialty: MS/Tele (Med/Surg Telemetry)
- Facility: 167-bed hospital, Level III Trauma Center, accredited by The Joint Commission
- Patient Population: All ages
- Equipment: Omnicell for medication dispensing
- EHR: Meditech (software familiarity)
- Openings: 1
Schedule and Work Expectations
- Shift: See shift details
- Weekend Hours: Every other weekend or as needed
- Call: As needed
- Float: As needed, with possible float to similar med/surg units
- Orientation: Weekly, on Mondays
- Dress Code: Any scrub color; casual wear is not acceptable
- Personality Fit: Professional
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience of 1 year, with experience within the last year
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- IV insertion skills
- Certifications not listed may also be required by the client.
- Tennessee Abuse Registry: Check required before the assignment start date, with results due before start
- Eligibility: Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for travel
