Job Description

Join a community-focused acute care hospital as an Infusion Center Nurse providing direct clinical care and administrative support in a busy infusion center seeing approximately 15-20 patients daily. This role involves safe administration of intravenous therapies, coordination of infusion services, and contributing to operational workflows such as scheduling, order review, and payer communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer IV medications and therapies safely, monitoring patient responses to ensure comfort and safety.
• Manage scheduling, prior authorizations, and clinical order reviews.
• Maintain effective communication with providers, payers, and care teams.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, assess understanding, and document teaching efforts.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records, medication logs, and transfusion records in compliance with hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved RN School of Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience; 1 year acute care experience preferred.
• BSN required.
• Current Vermont or multi-state compact RN license.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Infusion RN and port experience required.
• Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) certification preferred.

Additional Information

• Orientation week may involve reduced hours due to midweek start.
• Flu shot required (no exceptions).
• Travelers start on Wednesdays.
