Registered Nurse - Contract Position

Location: Lancaster, Ohio

Job Summary

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and supervise individual patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct co-workers and delegate appropriate tasks in care implementation.
• Perform duties in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Valid Ohio nursing license; CPR required.
• Experience: Previous nursing experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, ability to handle multiple priorities, and make independent decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care based on patient assessment and established care plans.
• Educate patients and families from admission through discharge.
• Document nursing care accurately and legibly.
• Notify physicians of significant patient status changes.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Implement physician orders as written.
• Ensure availability and proper functioning of equipment and supplies.

Physical and Work Environment

• Medium physical work: lifting 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently.
• Exposure to electrical equipment.
• Requires strong analytical, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and time management skills.
