Job Opportunity: Medical Laboratory Technician (Contract)

Location: Pagosa Springs, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Specialty: Medical Laboratory

Job Description

Perform technical analytical procedures in areas such as hematology, chemistry, special chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, serology, urinalysis, coagulation, and phlebotomy as ordered by physicians or healthcare providers.
Conduct routine and special laboratory tests according to written requisitions.
May specialize in one or multiple clinical testing areas.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments.
Participate in quality control evaluation and documentation for tests conducted.
Authorized to manually enter results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
Adhere to the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare facility.

Schedule

Night Shift: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.

Requirements

BLS/BCLS certification required.
