Description

Medical Laboratory Technician - Contract Opportunity

Location: Aspen, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Perform routine and special laboratory assays of patient specimens across all sections of Clinical Laboratory Medicine.
Conduct microscopic, chemical, hematological, immunologic, or bacteriologic assays according to established standards.
Calibrate and operate laboratory instruments and equipment following preventive maintenance schedules.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology
Microbiology experience
Certification: American Society for Clinical Pathology - Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Successful completion of a supervised one-year clinical internship

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with EPIC system
Bilingual in Spanish

Additional Information

Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing. Housing is extremely expensive, especially in winter. Consider nearby towns such as Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs for housing options.
Typical rent for a 1-bedroom apartment in Basalt is around $3,500/month. Travelers with a housing budget below this may not be suitable for this assignment.
Not accepting any Return to Office (RTO) requests formally, but accommodations will be attempted.
Must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment (approximately 8,000 ft elevation).
