Diagnostic Imaging - Vascular Technologist

Location: Lancaster, Ohio
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound and related procedures under supervision.
• Follow established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Work collaboratively within the department and maintain ethical relationships with patients and staff.

Schedule

• Tuesday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited institution.
• Registered or able to register within 90 days through ARDMS with RVT certification (preferred) or CCI with RVS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years experience under supervision of a qualified vascular physician or vascular laboratory.
• At least 15 hours of CME every three years in compliance with IAC standards.
• BLS/BCLS certification required.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to problem-solve, handle multiple priorities, and make independent decisions.

Essential Job Functions

• Perform diagnostic vascular exams as ordered by physicians.
• Operate laboratory and imaging equipment safely and appropriately.
• Transport and position patients safely.
• Assist physicians with special vascular procedures.
• Maintain educational requirements and competencies for vascular certification.
• Ensure compliance with IAC standards.
• Precept students and new employees.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort in the vascular lab.
• Maintain a safe working environment and departmental supplies.
• Practice family-centered care and provide customer service recovery when needed.
• Perform cleaning and disinfection per hospital policies.

Physical Demands

• Medium work: lifting 20-50 pounds occasionally, 10-25 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds often.

Additional Information

• Must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler.
• No prior travel experience required.
