Description
Nursing Contract Opportunity - Estes Park, Colorado
Position Summary
Provide quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process to meet the needs of patients of all ages in a hospital setting located in the Rocky Mountains.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver age-specific patient care safely, timely, and professionally.
- Administer medications following the 7 Rights: Right Drug, Client, Dose, Time, Route, Reason, and Documentation.
- Respond appropriately in emergency situations (skills in ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS/ENPC required).
- Educate and counsel patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Practice according to professional and ethical nursing standards and Colorado State Nurse Practice Act.
- Participate in resource stewardship and possibly committees or community events.
- Comply with all local, state, and federal laws and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited or state board-approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years’ experience. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- Licensure: Valid Colorado RN license or multistate RN license through the Nurse Licensure Compact.

- American Heart Association BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- CPI
- TNCC/ATCN
- ENPC
- Recommended Certifications: CEN, NIHSS
Additional Information
- Must provide verification of credentials including current license, certifications, immunization records, TB test (QuantiFERON), influenza vaccination during flu season, negative drug screen, resume, references, OSHA training, skills assessment, criminal background check, and Colorado CAPS check.
- Contract length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months).
