Job Opportunity: ICU Nurse (Contract)

Location: Kealakekua, Hawaii

Job Details

• Work in a 9-bed ICU with a nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:2, but may be 1:1 when indicated.
• Potential for Med/Surg overflow with ratios up to 1:3 or 1:4.
• 12-hour day or night shifts.
• Schedule: 72 hours every two weeks.
• Adult ICU primarily; occasional stable pediatric patients may be cared for, but unstable pediatric patients are transferred.
• Minimum of three nurses per shift.
• May float to other departments to assist but will not take a team of patients in those areas.
• Charge nurse duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Must have PALS certification.
• Must have ACLS and BLS/BCLS certifications.
• Prior travel experience: Required (indicated by "true" in the data).
• Specialty years of experience: 2 years (from additional info).

Additional Notes

• May be assigned charge nurse duties.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is mandatory.
