Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech (Travel)

Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Summary

• Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures as requested by physicians.
• Provide care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by Radiologists/Cardiologists.

Required Certifications / Licenses

• ARRT certification applicable to cardiac or vascular intervention (CV, CI, VI) or RCIS Certification
• New Mexico State licensure
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year radiologic experience required
• 1 year interventional or cath lab experience preferred (use higher value: 1 year required)
• Prior travel experience: Not explicitly required

Skills

• Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment, neurological and cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, medical terminology, and basic computer skills
• Preferred knowledge of interventional procedures in Cardiology and Radiology
• Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English

Work Schedule & Environment

• Shift: 7 AM - 5:30 PM
• Weekend requirement: Yes
• On-call requirement: 10 out of 12 days per month, including weekends
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, and ionizing radiation
• Clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment
• Flexible working hours due to possible schedule changes and emergencies
• Subject to stressful professional relationships

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, position, push, and/or transfer patients and equipment weighing over 50 lbs

• Position reports to Cath Lab Manager
