Registered Nurse – Med Surg

Requirements:
Must have a valid TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standing
Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg experience
Unit Overview
Number of Beds: 26
Patient Ratios: 1:6 or team nursing model (up to 1:9)
Staffing Support: Charge nurse, unit secretary (days), and 2 Patient Care Techs

Equipment: Alaris IV pumps

Documentation System: Meditech

Schedule & Floating
Scheduling Requirement: Every other weekend
Floating Policy: May float to other Med/Surg units as needed

Patient Care Expectations
Hourly purposeful rounding
AIDET communication standards
Mandatory bedside shift report
Qualifications & Certifications

Required Certifications: BLS and ACLS

Must Have:
Positive, team-focused attitude
Strong time management skills
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Ability to work well in a collaborative environment

Dress Code
Approved Scrubs: Royal, Galaxy, Pewter Gray, or White
