$Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Unit Type: Med/Surg (MS2 & MS3) Beds: 27 per floor Patient Ratios: 5:1 Must have a valid TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standings. Requirements Experience: Basic Med/Surg experience required; post-op and orthopedic experience strongly preferred Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred (not required) License: Active RN license (no pending licenses accepted) Documentation System: Currently Medhost; transitioning to Meditech (April 19) Equipment Used: Computer on Wheels, Pyxis, Welch Allyn vital sign machines Procedures on Unit: Blood transfusions, IV and central line maintenance Patient Care Expectations: Must provide compassionate, high-quality care and strong patient communication Scheduling Details Schedule: 3 shifts per week Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Floating Policy: Must be willing to float between MS2 and MS3 as needed Support Staff: Unit secretaries during day shift; techs on all shifts/wk

Registered Nurse – Med Surg
Unit Name: Med Surg

Requirements:
Must have a valid TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standing
Minimum 2 year of Med/Surg experience

Certifications Required: BLS (required), ACLS preferred but not required

Must Have:
Basic Med/Surg experience
Experience with post-op patients, especially ortho

Procedures Performed on Unit:
Blood transfusions
IV and central line maintenance

Unit Specifics:
Number of Beds: 27 on each floor
Patient Ratios: 5:1

Unit Staffing: Unit secretaries on day shift; techs on all shifts

Equipment: Computers on Wheels, Pyxis, Welch Allyn vital sign machines

Documentation System: Medhost (transitioning to Meditech on April 19th)

Scheduling Requirements:
3 shifts per week
Every other weekend

Floating Policy:
Will float between MS2 and MS3

Patient Experience Requirements:
Provide compassionate, attentive patient-centered care
