Registered Nurse – ICU
Unit Name: CCU

Requirements:
Must have a valid TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standing
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI

Requested Skill Set: Ventilator management, sedation/vasoactive drips, care of central venous catheters

Must Have:
Strong ICU background
Ability to manage vents and critical drips
Advanced Skills Needed:
ACLS
Procedures Performed on Unit:
Bronchoscopy
Central line placement
Chest tube placement
Occasional bedside procedures: EGD, colonoscopy, PEG tube placement, trach placement

Unit Specifics:
Number of Beds: 8
Patient Ratios: 2:1, sometimes 3:1
Unit Staffing: Monitor Tech

Equipment: Mindray Datascope

Documentation System: MedHost

Scheduling Requirements:
Three 12-hour shifts

Floating Policy:
May be required to float

Additional Information:
Small 8-bed Critical Care Unit caring for a broad adult patient population (DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, post-heart caths, etc.)
Not a specialty-only unit; wide range of diagnoses
Strong, experienced team—many nurses have 5+ years on the unit and are deeply connected to the community
Facility may have limitations in services but prides itself on exceptional nursing care
