Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Unit Name: Parkridge North ER

Requirements:
Must have an active TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standing
Minimum 2 years of ER RN experience
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI

Must Have / Advanced Skills Needed: Minimal oversight required; basic respiratory care knowledge including breathing treatments, ABGs, BiPAP, and travel vent

Hospital Specifics:
Parkridge Medical Center: TJC Chest Pain with PCI and Primary Stroke Center Certified

Unit Specifics:
Number of Beds: 11
Patient Ratios: 1:4
Unit Staffing: Tenured RNs and CC Paramedics only

Equipment: Respiratory (Parapac Plus travel vent, Phillips V60 for BiPAP), EKG, GE Cardiac Monitoring, Alaris IV Pumps, Lucas device, Lifepak defibrillators

Documentation System: Meditech

Scheduling Requirements: 3 twelve-hour shifts per week

Floating Policy: May float to other ERs within Parkridge Health System as needed

Patient Experience Requirements: Minimum 1-year ER experience recommended to ensure success

Dress Code (Required):
Navy scrubs
