Registered Nurse – ICU
Unit Name: ICU

Requirements:
Must have a valid TN RN License or Compact RN License in good standing
Minimum 1 year of ICU experience
Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS

Must Have: Positive attitude, strong teamwork, effective problem-solving skills

Advanced Skills Needed:
Ventilator and sedation management
Medication titration

Procedures Performed on Unit:
Tracheostomy placement
Bronchoscopy
Cardioversion

Unit Specifics:
Number of Beds: 16
Patient Ratios: 2:1
Unit Staffing: Tech support available

Type of Equipment: GE monitors, Nova glucometers, Pyxis medication dispensing, Dräger ventilators

Documentation System: Meditech

Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend

Floating Policy: Floats in rotation with core staff and other travelers

Patient Experience Requirements: AIDET, communication board completion, medication teaching

Hospital Specifics: Certifications: Trauma Level III

Dress Code (Required): Charcoal gray scrubs
