4x12 hrs, Nights

Rapid Response: LDRP 9 beds, OBED 1 bed, NICU 4 beds, 1 OR suite
Patient Ratios : 1:1 active labors, inductions, C-sections, couplet care 1:3, newborns 1:1 until stable, NICU 1:3 intermediate care, but 2 NICU nurses must be in the unit. Type of equipment: CPN Central monitoring, IV pumps, infant warmers, tele-med robot for neonatologist, bili-blankets, PCA pumps
Documentation system: Meditech and CPN
Scheduling requirements: FT 3 shifts per wk., rotating weekend and holidays, PRN’s to complete
Floating policy: regular staff, if scheduled and not needed on the unit, are expected to float anywhere within the facility as needed, some staff are cross trained to float between LDRP & NICU
Patient Experience requirements: daily rounding on all patients, SAFETY rounding
Hospital Specifics- Certifications: Joint Commission, Stoke Center, Level II Trauma, Level II NICU Must have: Labor and delivery experience including the ability to labor and recover the mother as well as receive and transition the newborn including assessment. Experience with shoulder dystocia, PP hemorrhage, and other potential OB emergencies preferred.

Advanced skills needed: Fetal monitoring education, experience with inductions (Pitocin, cervidil)

Procedures performed on unit: C-sections, circumcisions, intra-uterine monitoring, vacuum or forceps assisted deliveries

Certifications Required: BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring training
