Description
Manages the operational, financial, personnel activities, and clinical aspects of Respiratory Care. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an AMA accredited respiratory care program. Associates Degree in respiratory care or health science
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a biological/ health science degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 or more years of respiratory care experience or comparable managerial experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 4-5 years managerial experience in respiratory care area or a related clinical area.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current State of Texas License and CRT
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: RRT
REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
