Description

Summary
Coordinates assignments of Respiratory Care Staff. Provides supervision of staff in the absence of Coordinator/Director. Provides respiratory care to patients. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Education:
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited AMA Respiratory Care program
Experience:
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 1 year of respiratory care clinical experience.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Supervisory experience
Certifications:
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE Possession of current RCP State of Texas License, Possession of current CRT / RRT Certification from NBRC Renewal required every 5 years unless grandfathered prior to July 1, 2002)
REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):
Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have
AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role
AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role if covering pedi
AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role if covering nicu
