Description
Under general administrative direction, manages the non-clinical care of patients with cancer DRGs across the oncology serviceline in
conjunction with the patient’s multidisciplinary care team. Collaborates with the patient navigator in coordinating referrals from
physicians and health care facilities for patients; providing a significant level of patient education related to their illness and planned
treatment. Directs patients with cancer DRGs through the complex care continuum and assuring patients receive care that consistently
follows evidence-based standards and is in accordance with regulatory standards as defined by the regulatory agencies. Identifies and
interacts with community resources and develops relationships with service providers to enhance the patient experience and eliminate
barriers to successful completion of care. Develops patient educational resources and support groups as part of the Whole Life Wellness
program for all BHS tumor site programs. Manages national accreditation program standard compliance by ensuring staff
accountability. Facilitates administrative activities in support of the service line staff and goals. Completes established competencies for
the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in business or healthcare related field
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in business or healthcare
related field
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in related field
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 5 years experience in related field
