Description
FULL-TIME ROTATE
The Mulitmodality Tech performs complex diagnostic imaging procedures in at least two modalities, as requested by a licensed physician. Produces high quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, taking images within the modality to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. Is multi-skilled in the use of O.R. procedures and equipment if one of the modalities is Radiologic Technologist. Is skilled in MRI safety, and understands the screening and administration process for delivery of contrast materials as required in the modality. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Associate’s Degree
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years clinical experience cumulative in more than one modality. ARRT CT/MRI registry eligible required.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas Medical Board (TMB) license. Possession of American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, in Radiography. Must be CT/MRI registry eligible and provide documentation of CT or MRI experience. Must obtain advance credential in CT or MRI within one year of hire. AHA BLS; state license if required
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: ARRT CT or MRI Certified
REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
