Description
This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus.
Responsible for skillfully preserving, cutting, staining, and mounting tissue sections onto microscopic slides for analysis by the Pathologist. Performs more complex techniques such as enzyme chemistry and immuno histo chemistry. May provide supervision and technical direction to Histology Technician. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s or Associates Degree from an approved college or university or training in
an NCCLS-approved Histology Technician or Technologist program..

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : NA
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 1 year as Histotechnologist
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: None
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Histologic Technician (HT) American Society Clinical
Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent.
