Travel Nurse – Neurology Unit
Location: Rochester, New York

Overview:
An exciting opportunity awaits as you begin or continue your travel nursing career on a highly specialized neurological unit in Rochester, NY. This dynamic and fast-paced environment offers the chance to expand your expertise while caring for patients with a wide range of neurological conditions.

You will work alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care to patients with conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, and more. This facility is a Joint Commission-accredited Comprehensive Stroke Center and the only Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit in the region, providing exposure to acute and complex cases.

As part of the Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, you will support the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of seizure disorders using advanced continuous video EEG technology. Schedule:

Rotating shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights)
Weekends and holidays as required
On-call, callback, and charge responsibilities based on unit needs

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neurological patients
Monitor and interpret telemetry data
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Utilize critical thinking skills in a high-acuity setting
Support patients and families through complex care journeys

Requirements:

Active RN License (New York State required)
Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience
Telemetry experience required
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification highly preferred
